Just a little something for everyone waiting for the rains to come and bring the fish, where do you want to be? I think it will be interesting to see everyones replies. My self I think I will hit the Hump or the Satsop.

If and when we get enough of it I will be drifting the Nooch in hopes of big fish. The hump will be number 2 on my list.

Joe,

The Satsop muddied up BADLY last week on the rains that moved through, so you might keep your eye on the Turnow branch, I think that's where the mud was coming from. If that's the case the only fishable water may be up around Schaeffer park. The Chehalis has silvers rolling all over it, though, so the Satsop will probably get a big shot of silvers on the next rain.

Good luck.......Fish on

Driftboat, the hump will be no. 1 on my mind and then I'll figure out where to fish.

Super, dont even need the rain, been just drilling the adult silvers on the lower green, hooked five on friday, in two hours time, and kept one chromer about 9lbs. fish the lower river right on the high tide change, and the first two hours after it starts dropping, the nets came out on friday as well, so I expect alot more bigger fish made it through the gauntlet.....tight lines

I have already been up to the Hump and it is full of fish but with the new rain that is comming it will turn it into a war zone.

HSL,
No secrets among fellow fisherman as faras I`m concerned. I will keep a persons secret if asked to but as for me, I think it`s bull#@*&. Zipperlip rivers, etc..Like they are afraid everyone will go there when we have in this state umpteen rivers that fish productivly. Sure, there may be one or two guys who may try one but.. well, `nuff said about my feelings there. If they know how to fish them they should`nt be afraid to say anything. They are biting on eggs, or orange #3 vibrax spinners, although I managed to pull one down on a silver spoon just playing around.

I agree with you Raincity, If you know what your doing you have nothing to worry about. This time of the year, if the fish are in, their everywhere. Just pick a spot and stay at it. I had to laugh at the knucklehead across the river from me Sunday. He was worse than a 4 year old on Christmas day. He must have tried everything in his tackle box. He spent more time changing than he did fishing. I just stood there in the same spot throwing the #5 Vib. He was up the river then back down, everytime someone would catch one he would be right over there. It seemed like everyone that stayed put got fish. He got the big zero.

Fished the satsop tonight between showers, still low and clear, but when I was cleaning fish as it got dark it started to pour, all those rivers out there should be could this week. I got two really nice hatchery silvers, one is pushing 16 or 17 lbs, the other right around 12. Got them one free drifting eggs, the other on a ice pick wiggle wart.

Right on, Superfly. Nice fish. I have just about every color of wigglewart made and some custom ones too. Which one is the ice pick wigglewart? Perhaps you could enlighten me. Thanks, man.

Hey Justin, how are you doing? good to hear from you. Thor-boats do rule, I really like my new one, I think it is exactly like yours. The one I call ice pick and have heard other people call ice pick is the one that is silver with with the real sharp looking blue herring bone on it. I always take off the front treble as well and put the next size up on the back. seems to work good, casting or back trolling. Good luck, also heard there is a bunch of fish in the chehalis at the mouth of the satsop. Peace Superfly

Joe,

If you don't mind me asking, were you fishing the upper Satsop around the park, or down below more? Just wondering if the fish are scattered around, or if they made a big dash up to the upper east fork already.

Thanks in advance.....

Fish on.....

HSL,
Consider a trade or the info on the nets when the river first opened..*L*
I would have given the info anyways but I really did appreciate you taking the time to check out the nets for us waiting to fish that stretch of river. I still say it`s most productive between those two bridges, of course, I have a buddy that`ll argue it till his face is red but that`s half the fun.
Tony

Rainy,
Thanks, but most of the credit for the net reports should go to Retriever. All the same, I, like you, appreciate the trading of good info. Thanks again.
