Fished up at the deadline and the several runs you can see down stream from there on Saturday from dawn to dusk. Not much went on until about 2 p.m. Then there was a pretty good movement of silvers up through the flats right below the dead line. Had fair luck with Vibrax spinners #4 and #5, green, in the flats on moving fish. Landed several bucks of about 12 pounds. They were colored up, but not rancid and they were still good fighters. Saw a mix of fresher looking fish, but only saw them.

Coolest fish of the day was the first one caught. It came from a pod of about 4 fish swimming up the flats in about mid-river. It peeled off from the others and came a good 15 feet to latch on to the spinner. It was neat to see the whole thing develop.

This was the best movement of fish I've seen that high up in the last several weeks.

I havent been up there in a while. Would a trip be worth it. I had heard the fish have a bad case of lock-jaw. Thanks for the report!

If I weren't stuck in the office, I'd sure be down there today. Last several weeks, I have seen the same thing you have - lockjaw. Saturday, as the afternoon went on, there were more fish and more fish moving and they were alot more disposed to biting. So I would think it would be worth a trip, especially with the rain we are getting.
