I have been avoiding these darn politic posts, but now I feel I need to post some enlightenment. The gov and pres are just figure heads. The real power is the house and senate. The pres can veto but then can be turned over any way. The best people for us will be the Republicians. Think about it. Most of them have grown up outdoors. There are enough people out there who would toss em out if they got carried away with raping the environment. I think the two party system is outdated and needs to be gone. No reps or demos. Just people and issues. It is time we use our heads and not our hearts in voting. Like I-713. What a pile of who-ie. Vote no on that one. Why do we need to manage everything to our own morals. That is wrong. Look what happened when people voted down hunting with hounds. OH MY! A BIG CAT JUST ATE MY FLUFFY!!!! Whoops, guess you should move off tiger mountian. Come on people, think. Ignore the person, the BS, and the promises. They are all lies. Just make sure you know where they come from. Outdoors or city.

Jim, unfortunately I'm quite sure that the banning of all traps(bodygripping)is going to happen.. The reasons it will pass is quite simple:Lack of education!!!!The west side of wash. is loaded with liberals who think that Nature can exist without our intervention..100yrs ago this could have happened, today we need to manage ourselves along with mothernature. People do not realize the importance of trapping "critters". They think it is out of sport and money.. I have a very good friend who has trapped forever 3 decades and he never made much money. The bunny-huggers need to see a disease hit the "critters" in their backyard and watch the suffering that can take place because of an overpopulation.You liberal "outdoorsmen" who do not think that the over-riding agenda of the anti-everythings is to totally eliminate hunting and fishing as we know it are walking with closed eyes. Just ask yourself one question, who are these liberal idiots going to vote for? Gore vs. Bush and Locke vs.Carlson. This should tell you who supports who..

DanS, I agree with on the name calling. As you know somethings can get a person worked up alittle more than it should..

The Republicans would get rid of any environmental rapists?? You can't be serious; they'd turn on their own and self-destruct! (Which would be good for the one party advocates, right?)
The outdoor/city argument is also flawed. Try judging candidates by the source of their campaign contributions.
The real pity: we've all collectively, and stubbornly, made up our minds already and no amount of facts or logic is going to matter. Even as sportsmen, we're split about 50-50 on who's best for the resources. No matter who is elected we'll still be acting like the Israelis and Palestinians. While the fish go down the tubes! No peace, no progress.

If it passes mole and mouse traps will be banned also. Guess we will just have to poison them and let them die a slow death. Go Repub's
