North Bend Cougar Attack

Mountain Bikers. Stay safe out there...

I know it’s super popular but to a cougar a fat biker is nothing more than a fleeing critter begging to be pounced on. Virtually every lion attack is on trail runners or bikers.

Very sad though. I don’t think most partaking in this activity have any idea of any risk.

I saw on the Commie News Network (CNN), the Big Black Cock Network (BBC) and the Jewish Telegraph Agency that this was a right wing white supremacist neo-Nazi Trump supporting Cougar. It probably went to WSU as well. Keep an eye out for Cougars in MAGA hats. How can Trump keep getting away with it?

Pretty alarming. The last human fatality by a cougar in WA state was in 1934. Perhaps cougars are only recently realizing that it's easier to catch a human - even on a fast mountain bike - than it is to catch a deer. Well that, and the fact that the forests have a lot more trail runners and mountain bikers these days than since 1934. I see a market niche for mountain bike helmets that extend down over the back of the neck for protection from cougar attack.

It is alarming, especially since I love to run on trails and back roads. Have been following predation on humans by cougars for about 20-25 years (other states) and they do seem to like joggers.

As Metro Sexuals take their running and biking hobbies to the woods, Mother Nature will be waiting there to cull them out.

As an ambush predator, the victim ordinarily doesn't know there is a cougar around until it's crushing the victim's neck, making a handgun of little use. In this case the cougar behaved strangely, allowing the mountain bikers to notice that the cat was trailing them. A firearm would have been useful this time. Or bear spray; that would have worked also.

My son lives in Snoqualmie and hikes all over the valley, sometimes alone. He has been in the same area the victims were on. He and I talked yesterday and he will be carrying either bear mace or a handgun on future hikes. Plus his old man will be hiking with him more often.

Looks like a weapon or spray would have helped this particular attack. A starving young male cat looking to set up his territory. He was many pounds underweight. Maybe if the tree companies stopped spraying for weeds (that kills off big game), this cat would have more to eat. The deer herds used to be a lot healthier than they are today.

One of my ex gf's and her "enlightened" friends demanded that I not carry on a backpacking trip. I said sure, I won't carry but your friends will now have to stand in front of me and take one for the team. They looked at me like I was Satan himself for suggesting something like that. I laughed and then didn't go on that trip. I dumped her punk ass a couple of weeks later.

This cat was simply responding to all the years of violence that man has inflicted on his peers.

No kidding. I saw a pick of that bike and was like WTF? That ain't no mountain bike and they were on a paved road. A Sheriff or WDFW came on KIRO radio this afternoon and gave some more details. They fought off the initial attack and then immediately let their guard down on a second attack. The one that died actually tried running away into the bushes. I don't wanna speak ill of the dead so I won't, but DUDE DON'T RUN YOU MORAN!!!!
