Fished Wallace Flats today. What a zoo! Only saw one chum caught were i was. Also fished Saturday at Reformatory drift and didnt see a thing caught between 7 people. I know they are getting a few here and there but it is far from "hot". We have had little rain this Nov., we need a good shot of rain to bring up hopefully good numbers of chums and a few early steelies!

P.S. For god sakes, dont keep the skankie chums!

I have been fishing the lower river in the last week and have heard of very few dogs being hooked. I didn't see any fish rolling last Friday. I feel that the fish are holding in the bay waiting for a good rain, or it will be a very bad year for dogs.

I fished above the Wallace today. Lots of chums and lots of take downs. All fish were non-smokers. My son and his friend had a blast, but if your looking for quality, this wasn't the place.

I was out bankin it today also. I hooked one and saw one landed on the lower river. Not to good considering the crowds I ran into. I also saw a black-jack silver hooked.

The water is real low, that is for sure. Usually late october and november is really wet...

see you on the river

I haven't seen any fresh fish to speak of in the Sky since last Sunday. Mostly dark fish this week which are becoming few and far between. I ended up floating the Snohomish today which was slower than snot. Hit a few fresh fish with sea lice but they were still pretty darn dark.

Anybody know any good rain dances?

Justin

Hey KidSauk, almost about time to head back up to the steelhead ranch huh! I went up to the wallace flats on Saturday, what a zoo you guys were right! Lots of people and lots of dark fish holding in the pool. Oh yeah did I mention all of the fricking snaggers!!! I was watching people up there rip there lines throught the water all dam day! All you heard was poles ripping throught the air. I mean from as low as the knees jerking and then the swing was almost behind there head. Thats pathetic! You call yourselves fisherman!!! I did manage to land 2 fish in there high teens right in the corner of mouth with out a huge snagger hook set thank you very much! Tight lines!!

Right on, Brian. Glad to hear you got into some. Judging by the lack of fish in the Snohomish, we need a good rain to bring in the rest of the Chums. I am hoping that we get another big push of fish or it's going to be over sooner than we expected.

Steelie time is coming!!

I bank fished the upper sky near the Wallace on Friday afternoon and found some decent chums-hooked 6 and landed 4 all in the mouth with a small purple corkie and yarn. I went to the same spot on Sunday and didn't touch anything. I fished several different spots down to Monroe and only saw 2 chum caught. Need some rain bad!
