I can not root for any Boston team. Ever.

Kinda like rooting for Oregon when they made it to the National Championship game. Nope, still didn't root for Oregon.

Go Mariners....and take the Seahawks with you!!!!!!!

Oh wait, go Dodgers. Kinda. Not really. Don't care. Heck, had I *not* heard it on the radio on my way home yesterday, I didn't even know it was Game 2 of the WS, let alone who was playing in it.

Baseball? Yawn. Can't believe Stam listened to baseball on the radio? C'mon man, you can't be that bored.

I love baseball, but not the way it is being played now. Too slow, too many K's (but poor hitters), starters don't last long enough.

Game should be about 2 to 2.5 hours; quite a bit less if you have a couple of real pitchers going.

I'll watch a little, but it is generally too slow. And, baseball is to be played on natural grass in the sunshine by two 9-man teams. I'm a fossil.

I love baseball. Ever since I was a kid. Saw the 84 all star game in candlestick. Took my sister and my brother in law to a game at At&t on their 1st date, where SF beat the Mets and Mike Piazza hit a dinger. Took my mom to her first game at At&t last year. So many great memories. I think the game is just fine and needs no tweaking.

While in college I used to watch games before track practice. Sit in the sun, enjoy. The track, and football stadium, were behind right field. Couple times we almost were hit by home runs that landed inside the stadium, on the track.

While there are things I would like to see changed, I still agree with Mr. Ruth about baseball being the best game. Never been to AT&T but spent some time in Candlestick. Saw Willie Mac hit either the longest or second longest (Jr is the other) homer in person. In extras, he hit it under the big scoreboard that was in right field behind the bleachers.

Went to one Giants-Dodgers game in Candlestick. Think it was Big D's last year. So windy that Gene Michael's (LA's SS) cap blew off and he chased it clear to the left field fence, where it finally stopped. Every time he'd reach down, a gust would blow it away.

I think I was there for one or two night games. They weren't bad; guess we were lucky. It was S.L. Clemens who said "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco". Still, The City is great.

San Francisco is pretty cool...but fuckin crowded and expensive. Not a lot different than Seattle, on all of those counts.

Fish on...

Todd

P.S. I have no opinions on California baseball teams. As a kid my family was all Angel fans, so I rooted for the Dodgers just to be contrary, but as a general rule I root against both of them now, and the A's, and don't give a shitt either way about the Giants. It's a hard one now...because also, as a general rule, I root against any team from Boston.

Boston had that one ion the bag and blew it. LA had a 4-0 lead and gave up 9 (hahahahahahaha) runs. Boston leading in the 4th. Smash Los Angeles' dreams tonight ? Man I hope so.

It's close.

I like that I get to trash talk the couple of friends I have that are Plodger fans. And that They Choked to St Louis so bad that one year, blew it last year in game 7,and got rolled like little scrub bitches this year.
