Back in the day me and parker went fishing a couple times, once with Pat Graham for springers on the duck and once on the Clawah for brats. He had a problem with malt Liquor even back them, when he showed up and opened the door to his truck about 20 old E 800 empty bottles fell out the door, before we went to the river we had to stop at the "Shell" and he bought a case of Colt 45, it was all gone before we left the river, he threw the empty bottles at ducks while I fished. It was a great day.

True story.

You left out an important part of that story:

A mere feet from the put in, I asked to row his boat and he said hes. I got maybe a dozen strokes in on the oar when I hit the ONLY rock in the middle of the Duc. A big, flat, meandering section of the Duc. The only rock that was big enough to not only partially stick of that water, but I hit it.

Pat was so fvcking pissed off! Never had to row again that day!



PS. You hooked a summer run up top (don't recall if you landed it) and we bonked a springer that day. Damn ducks deserved to have those empty malt liquor bottles tossed at them.

Actually there was no malt liquor abuse, we just caught some fish, Parker caught more.

Back in the day when micro breweries were just coming onto the scene with great popularity I was working for Wieden & Kennedy agency in Portland and crafted an ad campaign for Miller in revolt:

"It's time for a good 'ol Macro Brew"
Beer so good we make a lot of it!
