I fished the outer bar today, landed three legal blackmouth keeping one about 9 pounds. The hot ticket was a 5 inch pearl silver horde 150 to 220 feet deep. I started with a flasher and a needlefish hoochie but couldn't keep the dinkers off. I thought the fish were supposed to be feeding on candlefish, that is why I was using the small hoochie. The fish I killed was stuffed with large herring, not one candlefish. That would explain the success with the bigger plug. The weather was beautiful, go enjoy it while it lasts!

Great weather out there today! Me and my partner started on the west side of Posession and marked only a handfull of fish and hardly any bait. After an hour we headed over to Pt-no-Pt and marked several fish there. We were there fifteen minutes and got a double to start. We released them and hit 3 more during the morning. We used plugs and slam-bucktails behind a dodger. We had a hard time keeping the shakers and flounder off our lines. Too close to the bottom and flounders...too high up and shakers! We saw about 15 boats total all day, and watched a guy off Pt-no-Pt hit a nice one in 200 ft of water with a green buzz-bomb.

Went out to posession again today, released a 5 pounder and bonked a 7. Done by 9 am. Both fish came on pearl 5 inch Silver Horde, keeps the shakers and flounders off.

Out to posession again today, Had to quit fishing at 9:30 and came home empty handed. We lost two nice fish, only landed the shakers. Bummer!

Fished the bar Sunday. A few shakers, lost one that was pullin' pretty good, and some flounder's but ...

WHAT THE HELL WAS THE CANADIAN COAST GAURD DOING ON POSSESION BAR? WERE THEY LOST IN THE FOG? OR WHAT??
