I hadnt heard of the Dunning-Kruger Effect so I went to read about it. This seemed to really ring true in this day and age and with regards to the dumb a$$es here, “ This meta-ignorance (or ignorance of ignorance) arises because lack of expertise and knowledge often hides in the realm of the “unknown unknowns” or is disguised by erroneous beliefs and background knowledge that only appear to be sufficient to conclude a right answer. ”

I would guess that the internet has greatly increased the amount of erroneous knowledge but it cannot replace expertise. So there are more dumbfuks than ever loaded up with worthless knowledge and with no experience.
