DBS - do you really not know what the Kraken is? Uh...Google? With the Seattle area Scandinavian history, Kraken is pretty much perfect.

The logo needs some work though. Looks like they phoned that one in. Sorry to whichever production graphics director came up with that, but please try again and this next time, please try harder.

I reviewed the new logos on the team website and they explain why they are why they are. OK - scratch what I said. I'm good with the look now. At least they didn't make it a cartoon Kraken or something lame like that. It could be a LOT worse I suppose.

Anyway, I'm all for this for Seattle and the state. Good good all around and slap-puck probably is the most exciting, non-stop action team sport to watch on TV. We friggin' need it or at least I do.

Seattle was named after Chief Seattle, who was a native American.

IMO - We lost out on a golden opportunity to honor that heritage by naming the new team the "Washington Redskins".

Weird watchIng MLB tonight with a empty stadium, cardboard fans behind the plate and piped in fan noise.
Kind of reminds me of the past 17 empty seasons the Mariners have given us.
Hopefully the Kraken can do better as a franchise.

I almost couldn't stick with the Giants Dodger game last night,and it wasn't because the Giants absolutely suck right now either. Oh,and as much as I can't stand L.A.,they will be winning a championship at some point. They are STACKED with talent.

The cardboard people are creepy. The fake crowd noise is creepy. Hearing the players yell on the field is weird. And the players wearing masks is like watching the twilight zone. Corona be gone. Weirdest year in my lifetime,bar none.

If it happens, football is going to be REALLY weird just based on how the game is played. Networks better have that 2 - 3 second delay button handy, because all kinds of F bombs and worse are going to be dropped on prime time.

Agreed. There was a situation in last nights game where the guy missed a freakin cement mixer and he f bombed all the way up to first base. Instead of ignoring it which they should have, the announcers pointed it out. Just stamp a parental guidance and play ball.

Those announcers were the drizzling sh!ts. That one guy talks like he has a mouth full of marbles. Or maybe it's Bellinger's cock,he was blowing the guy all night. Fkn hacks kept interrupting each other. Had no timing. I can't wait for John Miller,Kruk and Kuip,the real deal.

To be fair, calling a baseball game without fans has to be just brutal for the average booth guy. So much dead air between pitches and action, that they better get real baseball guys that can go in depth with stories or just high quality entertainers that can keep people engaged with funny banal crap.
