Fishgal and I did make itr up here safe and sound ... been going, going, going the last few days since we got in.

Super weather up here, a little chilly in the AM's, but nice in the afternoons. In fact, it was in the 70's yesterday afternoon while we made run back to Anchorage to Costco.

Thought we'd share a few moments of AK life in May:

Literally within hours of arrival, we were on the river, and it took just a few minutes to find our first kinger of the season:

Things seem to be about normal for fish so far, still pretty spotty, but a few more fish every day and things should be up and running in full swing within a week or so smile We weren't able to dig last Saturday which was the lowest tide in a number of years, but we snuck out Sunday for some digging and Fishgal is now known as Clamgal!

And we got to enjoy a day on the golf course with our halibut captain, Bill, and Mike (below) who is our "CC processing man":

Talking with the grenns fella on the course, this is the first time in memory that he's actually had to cut grass in May ... as you can see from the pic, it's no Augusta, but it's far and away the nicest shape I've seen the course in this timeframe, should be very nice later in the summer!

We'll share some road trip pix before too long ... and we'll, probably sneak out on the river as well for a little more fishing too wink Might even have some bear hunting pix before too long!

Geez Bob, Looks like you are pretty short on that drive on 4. Ya are supposed to get a little closer to the edge of the drop. All down hill from there ya know. Didja par it?

Course looks good and so does that King ya boated. I was gonna get that one.

Was it clipped?

See ya next week. Save me a couple.

You didn't really make clam-gal clean all those didja?

Nice getting up to the "big city" by Froks standards. Yep, clippy-clippy fp ... we're gonna do a little playing in the AM to see how the run is shaping up ... so far for landed fish, we're 100% clipped smile

No par on four for me ... blew 4 wood OB on second shot trying to reach in two ... pin high but right, bogeyed it frown
