Got over here to Lake Chelan Friday. It's been warm, but windy, a tad bit of rain for awhile on Sat. afternoon. Seeing as I am the only dude in the party over here that fishes, well I brought a bunch of rods for every type of fishing. And every morning, afternoon and evening I hear, "uncle Richard, when can we go fishing?" So, I've taken all the nieces and nephews, and my kids, and a couple friends off the dock, in the big boat, and in the livingston. So far we have caught tons of bass, some trout, a few sqaws, and suckers. The suckers believe it or not have become a favorite for some of the kids since they are big, visible, and fight good. We discovered last year, pieces of white bread will catch them. I know, not salmon or steelhead, but the kids are having fun, and they can't catch enough fish. Here is some pics.

The ride over...

The daughter Lexi and her cousin fishing off the dock.

My hilarious niece, and some of her 7 bass she caught in the first afternoon here...

My view from the window in our room.

My wife and a friend model one of the selections of 28 rods I brought along for this trip...

Out at BC McDonalds, having a good time with the old friends, (including first girlfriend). They (the females) are looking pretty good, especially for 36 to 38 years old, or young...

And here at the table, oops, a little bonus thong showing...

Then of course ya gotta have the customary double kiss shot while wearing the SolFly shirt, Tbird, wear this shirt, it will get you more than just fish...

And then there is this guy, who supposedly played fo rthe Red Sox from 1971 to 1973. I didn't recognise his name, and now I forget it, but I just called him, "hey, really drunk guy" all night long...

Well, lots of wakeboarding, for others, not me, and innertubing action. Tonight and the am, Macks, I'll post pics of them later or tomorrow. I know, not the super special fish pics, but variety is the spice of life, and pretty darn good fishing over here right now, Kokes are bigger this year too. Biggest fish so far was a smallmouth close to 7 pounds, caught by Lexi, my daughter.

Pretty fun spot to go fishing actually...Can get all sorts of stuff and it's a great spot to be for summer fun that doesn't involve fishing...

I have known Jeff for 20+ years from Basketball and My sister and her husband are very good freinds with both of them. We also lived in the same neighborhood 4-5 years ago. Try to talk Jeff into fishing.

That looks like a great vaca. The mackinaw were easy pickings the only two times I've been to Chelan-- I hope you have good luck on them. That's a beautiful lake and a lot of fun.

Did you play B-ball with him at Central or in high school? I have probably met your sister then since both my wife and I have been friends with Angela since high school, and Jeff since they were dating, and we've had many fish dinners at there house with some of their friends from the "other side". I've been fishing with him a few times. You must have lived by them in Lake Stevens then I'm assuming. My wife painted all those murals in their house there in Lake Stevens. You will have to get to their house in Mukilteo for a fish/crab feed sometime. I've tried to get him on a river, but it hasn't happened yet.

Blowing like crazy now so looks like the Mackinaw will wait until the a.m. I'm beat, and a boat full of people and rods in the wind can wait for another day. Stick to the dock tonight. Funny, I wear myself out on vacation.

Great pics. Looks like everyone is having a great time. Tell your daughter that big smallie she caught could be the fish of a lifetime. Good for her, that's a great fish. Some guys fish for years without ever breaking the 5 lb mark. I include myself as one of those guys. ;\)

I see your at Peterson's, I have spent my fair share of time over there, my cousin pretty much lives there in the summer. He has the new red cobalt with the wake tower and I think those are his Honda skis in the pool pic.

I have had more than few good times there, just don't get too rowdy they are fine happy there. I think the best reason for fines was a few memorial weekends ago, where we recieved I think a thousand dollar fine for panties being thrown over the balcony and for someone having sex on the balcony.

Yep, at Petersons. I know who has that red boat, they've been coming here for years. We've been coming here for 16 years now. That Cobalt is sweet. Previously they had that corvette boat I believe. And yes, those are their Hondas. We've caught several bass right next to those. Good times you've had here it sounds like.

hey lovetofish365, We will try not to sore lip all the fish for you. There are a lot of bass around, and one definate big one swimming around down in the bottom end here, my daughters big one is still here waiting for you during the tournament. She got it right off the dock, should of seen how many people came down and started fishing after she caught that! She got it totally by herself, pretty cool. Her little trout pole was practically doubled over, luckily her drag, unchecked by me, was not set too tight. Needless to say, she has been out there quite a bit since..

Richard,

No, Jeff was a lot better than me. I was on a mens league team with him once. Yeah, I lived in the Reserve in Lake Stevens while they were there.

Addicted- Glad your having some fun over at Peterson's. We also have a time share over there the last week in July and first week in August. Been going there since the year it was built. Used to be just the first building (where the office is) and a sand volleyball court above the pool(where the full ownership building is now). It's still a great place and the smallie fishing just gets better and better each year. What have you been getting them on?? Have a great trip and don't get the paddle boats toooooo slimy before I get over there!
