So, after some prodding by the owner of a Chinese restaurant in Corvallis, I agreed to a challenge. A pound of each of his 7 favorite chicken dishes, in an hour, for $400. No rice, noodles, veggies... just straight chicken. I could really use $400... that's like 3 tanks of diesel for fishing.... After a little over 2 lbs, much to the dismay of like 25 people in my 'audience', I threw in the chopsticks.... Moral of the story, 7 lbs of chicken is a hellofalot of chicken. Don't let shifty Chinese dudes swindle you into challenges. (Plus side, he didn't charge for my fiance's dinner, and she paid for mine )

That is a slick way to get a weeks worth of take out chicken for cheap.

He's going to keep upping it by $100, every month until beaten. Start a 'training' regiment now, and by winter steelie season one of ya'll could come down, catch a cooler full of steelhead at my place, and go home $800 richer (or, just go home with steelhead, and a bunch of chicken leftovers ) Maybe Dogfish could be his supplier...

Seven pounds of anything is a lot of anything...were there bones you could toss out, at least, or was it seven pounds of straight meat?
Fish on...

Todd Seven pounds ain't nothin' for one of those Revo drags Back in the day when I was buildin' the Siuslaw Nat'l Forest SO we used to frequent a Chinese restaurant in town. One night I had a monster cockroach crawling on my leg....no kidding (at all). I asked the waitress what it was....she said she didn't see anything. I didn't eat Chinese food for a long time after that. Wish I could remember the name of the place....it was downtown on a slight uphill grade...... Maybe they've cleaned things up since then.

Todd boneless breast pieces... sweet & sour, general Tsao's, hazelnut, mandarin, and a few others. 7# is a lot. I ate 8# of food at Thanksgiving a couple years back...my fiance's sister weighed me before/after, and I had to lay down on a heat pad for like 3 hours, praying for death afterwards. I didn't grow up with family/Thanksgiving meals before...so I was like a Somolian at an Izzys. Nirvana. (The previous Thanksgiving, I ate Nalley Chili, microwaved. No joke) The other night I killed a large pizza, salad, and order of crazy bread. Don't know what that weighed. I've also been known to eat a 2# pack of bacon in one sitting. Not recommended. The monotony of slowly cooling chicken chunks got to me after about 20 minutes...

I don't think I've ever consumed 7 pounds of anything in a sitting, 'ceptin' beer, of course I did eat a 4 pound steak once, was a prerequisite to getting the meal gratis from the restaurant...can't say I enjoyed it, but I did it. Fish on... Todd

When I played football I could put it away and lose ten pounds in a game. Now I could probably go a week without eating and not lose weight.
