Hello fellow fishers and wishers....As I had said in my previous post, I am giving a report of the Queets. We had a tandem of drift-boats and fishermen who had limited success as far as catch ratios go. But, we had a great time together and we did manage a couple hook-ups and releases (one was long distance) We talked to others who had no success at all.
The road is still closed to the campground and the river has changed, with many of the good holes washed out or shallow. The river only had about 6 inches of visability(Maybe), and was on the rise with all the huge downpours that were happening every 20 minutes.
With all this rain we are having right now, I don't think that this river will be fishable for a while. And just a note, if you don't have a 4x4, I don't think you will be able to use some of the launches. I tried to in 2 wheel and had to shift to 4 wheel.
Well, time to go restock the Slinky Jar and tie more leaders, as this river loves to eat them!
