Merg,

The simple fact is that age brings wisdom. I am happy for you that you are so wordly at such a young age but your bravado belies your immaturity. Most men really don't "grow up" until around 23-25 years old as life starts to show us really where we are in the grand scheme of things.

I seem to remember having the same "grasp" on life at your age enjoying life to its fullest with women, whiskey, and whatever came my way. I'll tell you what, I am glad I have learned humility and the ability to understand that I really don't know $hit, fishing ability, advanced degrees in school, relationships, et al. Life is chaotic, brutal, difficult and perplexing. But it comes with so many pluses as well which is why I guess we all keep slogging through it. Noone will ever have it all figured out which I think is why so many of us are trying to educate you with our replies.

Just stop and take some lessons from others that have walked where you have not. Put your boundless energy into fishing, reading, learning or whatever pursuits you enjoy that do not harm others. But please... just stop.

Good luck,

Terrapin
