Can someone elaborate on this?
Howabout a pro/con in layman's terms?

As a newb to the CCA discussion, please explain how this conservation organization can be pro commercial?

It's pretty simple....

"If" the commercials can be more selective, they'll get to harvest more hatchery fish.... Currently they're working on a study with seine netting, which of course has a extremely minimal mortality rate or at least common sense would say so...

There's only so many hatchery fish to go around....

If this is the case, then wouldn't that in essence have a more positive impact on the ESA chinook? In that sense, it doesn't seem like a bad thing.

maybe I am misunderstanding something..???
