Trump is doubling down, as long as he touts that the economy is booming regardless of the fundamentals the Fed will have to continue to raise rates which will further strengthen the dollar but at the same time Tariffs are being implemented to offset trade deficits, making it more desirable for US treasury bond holders to cash them in for a greater return ultimately flooding the United States with worthless fiat currency forcing the United States to ultimately abandon the dollar to maintain fair and equitable trade status.

The reason Europe is wanting to make new "equal" trade deals now is because there is no advantage for them to do it later as in China case.

Trump has expressed that central bank policy of raising rates is damaging to America and puts the country at a disadvantage regarding trade and he does not support it. But his actions are contrary to those statements.
