Was curious how enforcement would handle a group of fishermen salmon fishing in Puget Sound say Mid Channel Bank on the Chinook July opener. Trollers, moochers and jiggers all over, then a pod of SRKW comes through and may get a stones throw away or closer from your boat. (Happened to me more than once). If I, and everyone around doesn't pull up and move, which I wouldn't, what would happen?
Just back from bank fishing around for steelhead the last couple of days at some coast and harbor spots. 3 of us old die hard light tackle spincast drift fishermen, (No bobbers) had no bites with pretty good conditions. Saw a couple caught on bobbers, with manageable crowds. Man! I really don't want to bobber fish, but might break down and do it! It is effective. Maybe the price to not use, is no action. Really thought we would have had, or seen more action. Glad to know we can still root around the river banks without any mishaps or injuries. We are realizing though, it's getting tougher every year and getting closer to not being a bank maggot any more.
